Lily: hi, my name is Lily.
Logan: hi mine is Logan.
Lily: oh how funny they both start with L’s.
Logan: yes, what a coincidence.
Lily: so you must be in a hurry?
Logan: how did you know?
Lily: well cause most people don’t take the time to talk to other people on a plane and use long words.
Logan: yeah, I’m in a bit of a hurry.
Lily: well there are ways to make the time go by faster.
Logan: and those would be?
Lily: well, you can play eye spy, you can play guess what.
Logan: those sound like childish games.
Lily: well they might sound like it, but that doesn’t mean that they are does it.
Logan: no not always, but I’m really kind of trying to figure out what to say to a girl.
Lily: oh so you are on your way to see your girl friend. I knew you were to cute not to have a girl friend, or a fiancée, or a wife.

Lily: oh that’s cool.
Logan: what about you?
Lily: Delaware

Flight Attendant: Thank you for choosing North Bond please come again.
Logan stands up looks around and then at Lily!
Logan: well thanks for talking to me, it made my flight way less boring.
Lily: you too.

Rory: hello?
Lily: Hi, I’m Lily, I’m looking Logan.

Jess: what are you reading?
Rory: umm……..okay, it’s little out of my reading range, but it’s really good.
Jess: what is it?
Rory: you can’t laugh.
Jess: I won’t tell me.
Rory: okay I heard it was suppose to be the best book of the year.
Jess: I may just have to read it.
Rory: okay, it’s Twilight.
Jess: Twilight?
Rory: yeah.
Jess stares at her.
Rory: you said you wouldn’t laugh.
Jess gets up and goes upstairs.
Rory: well at least he’s not laughing in front of me.
Jess comes back down stairs with a book in his hand, and hands it to Rory.
Rory (reading the book cover): Twilight, your reading Twilight?
Jess: yes, I didn’t laugh at you, so you can’t laugh at me.

Rory: so you get New Moon yet?
Jess: no, Andrew’s sold out and isn’t getting any until next week.
Rory: I know. I bought the last copy.
Jess: oh your good.
Rory: I know.
Jess: you don’t even need it though.
Rory: I only have 7 more chapters.
Jess: yeah but I only have 4.
Rory: I still bet I beat you.
Jess: doubt it.
Rory: want to bet on that?
Jess: sure.
Rory: how much?
Jess: I bet your copy of New Moon that I will finish before you.
Rory: okay, I bet that if I beat you, you have to buy me Eclipse.
Jess: deal.
Rory and Jess shake hands.

Rory: what’s your name?
Lily: Lily.
Rory: and, you looking for Logan.
Lily: Logan Huntzberger.
Rory sighs.
Rory: umm……he’s not here right now, he’s in L.A. but he’ll be back in a few days.
Jess comes up from behind Rory.
Jess: hey your mom wants to know who’s at the door?
Rory: I’m not really sure.
Lily: I told you my name was Lily.
Rory: okay.
Rory turns to Jess.
Rory: tell her some girl named Lily who knows Logan is at the door.
Jess: okay.
Jess starts for the kitchen but runs into Tristan.
Tristan: God Jess watch where your going.
Jess: sorry.
Tristan walks up behind Rory.
Tristan: hey Rory.
Rory: yeah?
Tristan: what do you want to drink?
Rory: I’ll take anything.
Tristan: well we don’t have anything.
Rory: okay, I’ll take water.
Tristan: okay.
Tristan goes back into the kitchen.
Lily: it looks like your having a party.
Rory: not really, my moms best friend came back into town so we’re having dinner.
Lily: with all these people.
Rory: yeah, with all these…….wait a minute. I don’t even know you, so I shouldn’t be telling you all this stuff.
Lily: I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to pry.
Rory: it’s fine. Can I ask how you know Logan?
Lily: umm…..
Rory: okay I don’t want to know, um……how did you know he would be here?
Lily: well I just googled his name, and on his facebookã he had two address, and this was the Connecticut one.
Rory: oh, how nice of him.
Lily: yeah.
Rory: well he’s not here.
Lily: I know you told me.
Rory: I can send you to the nearest hote……
Lorelai comes to the door.
Lorelai: hi, I’m Lorelai Rory’s mom.
Lily: your Rory’s mom?
Lorelai: does that surprise you?
Lily: well you don’t look old enough……
Sookie comes to the door.
Sookie: you might not want to finish that sentence.
Lily: okay.
Sookie: I’m Sookie.
Lorelai: so you’re here for Logan?
Lily: yes.
Lorelai: well I’m sure that Rory has informed you that he isn’t here, but we do own an Inn down the road, and you could stay there if you would like.
Lily looks at all the faces.
Lily: okay.
Lorelai: well, we’re eating dinner right now and we would be more than happy for you to join us, then well take you down to the Inn, and you get you all set up.
Lily: okay sounds good.
Rory (mumbling): I’m sure it does.
Lily and Sookie go into the kitchen.
Lorelai: are you going to be okay?
Rory: oh yeah.
Lorelai and Rory walk into the kitchen.
Luke: who’s this?
Lorelai starts to introduce people. Jess eyes stay on Rory the whole time. Rory goes into the living room. Jess sneaks off after her. Jess finds Rory sitting on the stairs.
Jess: hey.
Rory: hey.
Jess: are you okay?
Rory: no.
Jess: I’m sorry.
Rory: me too, I didn’t know there was a girl named Lily.
Jess: you know about all of Logan’s past?
Rory: no, but I know about enough of it.
Jess: so he left out one girl.
Rory: that’s not really what I care about.
Jess: then what is.
Rory: maybe Lily was his serious relationship.
Jess: you think Lily was the serious girl before you?
Rory: maybe.
Jess: okay, here’s how I can tell they weren’t she has a backpack as her purse, first sign that she doesn’t stay in one place for a long time, her jeans have holes, which means she is a traveler, the last sign, she has a green army bag, means she can throw all her clothes in and bolt at any time. She’s not the serious type.
Rory: how do you know all this?
Jess: cause that’s what I use to look for in a girl.
Rory: you use to look for nothing serious?
Jess: yeah, I didn’t want any strings attached I wanted to leave when I wanted, and if they wanted to leave, they could.
Rory: what happened?
Jess: I met you. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make it uncomfortable.
Rory: it’s okay I asked, I wanted the truth.
Jess smiles
Jess: don’t worry, they couldn’t have been too serious.
Rory: I’m still going to beat you.
Jess: I doubt it.
Lorelai: RORY? JESS?
Rory: coming!
Jess: I guess we better make an appearance.
Rory: keep sharp objects away from me.
Jess laughs. They walk into the kitchen. Everyone sits down and starts to eat.

AFTER DINNER

Lorelai: alright Lily, well take you to the Inn, you want to come Rory?
Rory: sure. Why not?
The three girls head out to Lorelai’s jeep. They head for the Inn.
Lorelai: so Lily, where you from?
Lily: around, I don’t really live in a certain place, I mean I stay a lot with my mom and dad in Delaware.
Lorelai: that’s cool.
Lily: yeah.
Lorelai: so how do you know Logan.
Rory leans up from the back seat and turns up the radio all the way. The song that’s playing is: Pour Some Sugar On Me.
Rory (screaming): sorry, I love this song!

AT THE INN

Lorelai: Rory will you show Lily to room 7 while I check her in?
Rory: sure.
Lorelai: oh Lily, I’ll be back in tomorrow around 8, the same for Sookie she’ll be in. Breakfast is served around 9, lunch 12:30 and dinner 7. There are four other guest. So if you hear something suspicious, it’s probably just one of them moving around.
Rory (mumbling): or me getting ready to attack you.
Lily: what was that Rory?
Rory: nothing, are you ready?
Lily: yeah. Thank you Lorelai, I really appreciate it.
Lorelai: no problem.
Rory leads Lily to room 7.
Lily: how many rooms are there?
Rory: there is only like 12.
Lily: why do you have so little people here?
Rory: cause it’s during the week, we get more people towards the weekend.
Lily: oh okay.
Rory: here’s your room key.
Lily: thanks.
Rory: yeah.
Lily: oh, will you let me know as soon as Logan gets in?
Rory: yep.
Rory goes down the stairs.
Rory (to herself): nope.

THE NEXT MORNING

Rory’s laying on the couch reading Twilight.
Tristan: hey Rory.
Rory: hey Tristan.
Tristan: Whatcha reading?
Rory: Twilight.
Tristan: Twilight?
Rory: yeah.
Tristan: okay, how far along are you?
Rory: I have 1 more chapter, plus the epilogue.
Tristan: did you stay up all night?
Rory: sort of I fell asleep here and there but for the most part.
Tristan: why?
Rory: cause I have to beat Jess.
Tristan: or is it because of Lily?
Rory: both.
Tristan: I’m sorry Rory.
Rory: thanks Tristan.
Rory starts to read her book again.
Tristan: you want me to distract Jess?
Rory: that’s very tempting, but I’m going to win fair and square.
Tristan: okay.
Rory continues to read.

30 MINUTES LATER

Rory runs into Luke’s.
Rory: I BEAT YOU JESS!!!
Jess looks up from his book.
Jess: no way!
Rory: yes way!
Jess: not even fair.
Rory: I just finished.
Jess: gosh.
Rory: ready to go to Andrew’s?
Jess: yeah lets go.
Rory and Jess leave Luke’s to go to Andrew’s.

TWO DAYS LATER

There’s a knock at the door.
Luke: I’ll get it.
Luke answers the door.
Luke: Logan?
Logan: Hey Luke.
Rory comes in from the living room.
Logan: Hey Ace.
Rory: Hi.
Luke: I’m going to let you two be alone.
Luke leaves.
Logan: what’s wrong?
Rory: oh well, one of your old flings came looking for you.
Logan: flings?
There’s a knock at the door.
Rory: why don’t you get that? I’m pretty sure I know who it is.
Logan: Rory, what are you talking about?
Rory: answer the door.
Logan answers the door.
Lily: hey Logan.
Logan: Lily?
